Incomplete tombs on a ridge with spectacular views of the Burren,
Leana Wedge Tomb, Burren Co. Clare.
This collapsed wedge tomb looks more impressive from the road where it can be seen perched on the very top of a hill, on closer inspection the roof has fallen half into the chamber but it is still possible to imagine its original form.

Leana Cairn, Burren, Co. Clare.
A small cairn close to the two ruined wedge tombs on the peak of Leana hill, there are no signs of a kerb or an entrance and it seems unlikely either is covered by the grass carpet around it.

Leana Wedge Tomb, Burren Co. Clare.
A diminutive and ruined tomb barely big enough for a person to fit in has some of the best views of the entire Burren, the magnificent Karst landscape to the rear and a beautiful view over lake Inchiquin to the front. The chamber seems to point directly at the well preserved tomb at Parknabinnia above.
