b>Parknabinnia Wedge Tomb, Burren Co. Clare.
The more famous and visited tomb in the area, also the best preserved. Well signposted from the road and clearly visible as you pass, its amazing that this tomb is in such good condition. There are remains of some ruined tombs and other structures in the area.

Three large rocks in the field south of Parknabinnia above.
The three stone row could be a natural feature and would not seem so unusual except the middle stone has a large notch in it that seems to form a sight straight to the Parknabinnia tomb above, and from the tomb direction singles out a notch in the horizon between two hills.

The view south through the notch seems to indicate an alignment to the notch where the two hills meet on the horizon.

This small tomb, a few hundred metres north of Parknabinnia CL67 above, is still partially imbedded in a low cairn and what appears to be its capstone lies broken behind it.
