To the east of the main Loughcrew Hills and within sight of Patrickstown Hill, this magnificent stone stands as the lone surviving reminder of a neolithic passage tomb that has long since been destroyed. Standing over 2m tall and about half a metre along its side, stone age people carved one face of the stone with fantastic spirals and concentric circles, which, although badly weathered, show up well in these photograps taken with the aid of a camera flashgun.
